Maria Mills - Chief Executive

Joined as the CEO in October 2015. She has an extensive background in the social care and health sectors and has worked in senior positions for a number of national charities and social enterprises, as well more local organisations. She brings with her a deep commitment to enabling supported individuals to shape their organisations, developing partnerships to provide integrated approaches to meeting needs and looks to create a deeper impact for our people and communities.

Jade Vallance - Head of Care

Joined Active Prospects in 2013 as the Service Manager for Domiciliary Care and in October 2015 became Head of Operations, later changing to Head of Care. Over 20 years’ experience in direct management in care and support and specialises in challenging needs and autism. Jade has worked for a number of charities and large national organisations providing support to people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Qualified in 2004 as a registered care manager undertaking RMA and Diploma 4 In Care and later on in 2009 qualified as a conflict manager and resolution teacher.

Linda Cons - Head of Finance

Joined Active Prospects in 2011. She has many years of experience in finance having started work in the City for Standard Chartered Bank prior to becoming an Accountant. Has worked in various senior Finance roles and as a member of the Senior Management team across the not for profit sector, having worked at West Kent College, RehabCare UK and Riverside Housing.

Anita Chown - Head of HR and L&D

Joined Active Prospects in January 2016. She has significant Human Resources, Organisational Development and Learning and Development experience, gained in the public and private sectors (Further Education, Higher Education and Financial Services) and has a MSc in HR Management and HR Development. She also brings to the role previous senior leadership experience and has worked in a quality role.

Sue Stockman - Head of Business Development

Joined Active Prospects in November 2016. She has extensive experience in the field of Business Development across the not for profit sector including at Fitzroy, Barnardo's and Pepenbury. She has many years' experience developing charitable services including for YMCA East Surrey, Young Epilepsy, The Grange centre and Amicus Vision. In addition, Sue has experience in fundraising and appeals working for SANE and Scope.
