Volunteer award for Julie Wales
Julie Wales has been a volunteer gardener at the Longmead Centre for 6 years. Julie recently won an award.
"Her work in the small courtyard at the Centre is very much appreciated, especially in the summer months when all the flowers are in bloom. We are very lucky to have Julie volunteering for us. Because of her work we have quite a number of members and centre users who now choose to spend some time in the open air."

Car boot sale - Horley
The Fundraising Committee were up bright and early to run a stall at the Horley car boot sale on Sunday morning. Lots of donations had come in and the table was full. The sun came out and so did the customers and nearly everything was sold including some lovely jewellery, a chocolate fountain and two clocks. All in all it was a very successful morning.
Cake sale at TSB
There was a wonderful display of cakes at TSB Redhill on Saturday Morning. Lots of people came and supported us and enjoyed delicious home-made lemon drizzle or apple and cinnamon cakes, Victoria sponges, muffins and cup cakes among others.
TSB has made us their charity of the year and also held a "Guess the number of chocolates" competition. Next month they are holding a "Name that Teddy Bear" competition, so do go in and have a go.
